Chennai to Kodaikanal by caravan
Hill stations are where the 6-seater caravan stops being a luxury and becomes the whole point. Chennai to Kodaikanal — or Yercaud, or Ooty — is a multi-day journey, and a caravan with a private bedroom, hot-water shower and full pantry turns the long road into part of the holiday instead of an endurance test.

How the trip works
We plan these circuits with night halts at caravan-safe properties we've used before — you sleep in a real bed that travels with you, wake to coffee from your own pantry and mist on the windows.
Yercaud is the gentlest run (a comfortable overnight circuit via Salem), Kodaikanal the classic, and Ooty the grand tour. Our chauffeurs know the ghat sections, the wide-vehicle timings and where to park at the top.
The pantry carries a week of supplies, the generator keeps the heater and chargers alive at altitude, and the lounge converts for extra sleepers. Pack light, stop often, come back slow.
Why this route suits a caravan

Chennai → Kodaikanal questions
Can a caravan really climb the ghat roads to Kodaikanal?
Yes. Our chauffeurs drive these ghat sections regularly and we plan around hill-road timings for larger vehicles. The 6-seater handles Yercaud, Kodaikanal and Ooty routinely.
How many days should we plan for a hill station caravan trip?
Two days minimum for Yercaud, three to four for Kodaikanal or Ooty. We'll sketch the route, halts and driving hours when you call, so the trip is unhurried.
Where do we sleep on the way?
In the caravan — that's the point. The 6-seater's private bedroom sleeps two in comfort and the lounge converts for more. We park overnight at vetted, caravan-safe properties along the route.
