Chennai → Pondicherry
The Chennai–Pondicherry run down the East Coast Road is the single most-booked caravan trip in South India, and for good reason: 160 kilometres of sea views, no luggage juggling, your own washroom on board, and Auroville or the French Quarter at the end of it. In a chauffeur-driven caravan, the drive stops being the price you pay for the destination, it becomes the best part of the day.

Chennai → Mahabalipuram
Sixty kilometres down the East Coast Road, Mahabalipuram is the easiest caravan day trip from Chennai, UNESCO-listed shore temples, stone-carved marvels and a beach lunch, all within ninety minutes of the city. With a caravan, the day has no friction: no restroom hunts, no baking-hot car waiting in the sun, no rush to get back.

Chennai → Kodaikanal & the hills
Hill stations are where the 6-seater caravan stops being a luxury and becomes the whole point.
